ACT Alliance
ICCO joined ACT Alliance on January 1, 2010. ACT Alliance is an international network of more than a hundred churches and organisations dedicated to development co-operation, emergency assistance and advocacy.
ACT stands for Action by Churches Together. The Alliance members aim to provide more effective assistance through joining their forces and expertise. ACT Alliance currently works in 125 countries around the world. ACT's total annual turnover is 1.5 billion Dollars.
ACT Alliance finds it very important that every human being on earth can live their lives in dignity, justice and peace. For this reason, it aims to effect structural changes for people that live in poverty and injustice. This mission stems from the understanding that we, as Christians, are called upon to show God's love for mankind and His creation in everything we that do. This Christian background is what binds the members of the Alliance.
The member organisations show their ties to ACT Alliance in images (logo) and words. By connecting ACT Alliance's logo and name to their own, the Alliance will gain a global visual identity, and thus its reputation, appreciation and influence may grow.
